Biography

Pianist Antonia Miller has established herself as an internationally successful concert pianist through a busy concert activity in many different countries such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Poland, Holland, Denmark, Italy, Hungary, Romania and Portugal. Highlights of her past concert activitites include recitals in Paris – Maison Heinrich Heine-, München – Isarphilharmonie,  Vienna – Musikverein, London – St.Bride´s,  Sweden – Helsingborg Piano Festival, Warsaw – Chopin Recital -, Budapest -Old Academy of Music Chamber Hall – , Bern – Yehudi Menuhin Forum -, Basel -Swiss Foundation for young musicians-, Lisbon -Museo nacional da Musica-, Leon – Auditorio Ciudad de Leon, Zurich, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Copenhagen as well as throughout Germany in cities such as Hamburg, Bonn, Stuttgart and Munich.

 

Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, she has streamed virtual solo recitals and performances at international festivals and concert venues in Quito/ Ecuador – Casa de la musica , La Paz / Bolivia- Festival de música boliviana y latinoamericana para piano, Porto Alegre / Brazil – Casa da musica Poa, Trujillo/ Peru – Festival de piano Carlos Valderrama, Wales Piano Festival, Nanyang /Singapore and Kaunas Piano Fest / Lithuania.

 

Antonia Miller has been studying in the piano class of Cristina Marton-Argerich in Augsburg since 2014 and has won numerous awards at international Music competitions (live and online) – in Italy (Massa, Arona, Treviso), Spain (Seville), Switzerland (Zurich), Lithuania, Germany (Augsburg, Munich, Dresden), Greece (Athens), France (Cap Ferret), in USA (Seattle, Los Angeles), Canada (Canadian International Music Competition and Rocky Mountains Competition in Toronto), Argentina (WPTA 2021) and Brazil (Sao Paulo) and has been awarded numerous scholarships, such as “Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now Augsburg” or the Deutschlandstipendium of the University of Augsburg.

She participated in masterclasses with Andrzej Jasinski, Eldar Nebolsin, Janina Fialkowska, Wolfgang Manz, Vanessa Latarche, Marta Gulyas, Josu de Solaun, Alon Goldstein, Michel Beroff, Jordi Mora, Jacques Rouvier, Pascal Roge and Aaron Shorr. During the year 2021/22 Antonia Miller was a student at the Académie de Musique Française pour Piano in Paris. Currently she is a postgraduate student in Piano & Orchestra Conducting from the piano at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole/ Florence, Italy, where she interacts as a soloist conductor with the Orchestra Galileo of Fiesole/ Florence. In June 2024 she was selected as one of the Young Conductors of “Live-Dirigier Workshop Berlin” to conduct the Deutsch-Skandinavische Jugend-Philharmonie Orchestra in the Kammermusiksaal of the iconic Berliner Philharmonie.

 

In addition to her solo concerts, Antonia Miller is a passionate chamber musician and performs in various ensembles with a strong focus on piano duo repertoire with her teacher and mentor Cristina Marton-Argerich. As a soloist in piano concertos she performed with orchestras such as Süddeutsche Camerata, Camerata Aperta, Collegium Musicum and Orchestra Filharmonica “Mihail Jora”.

 

The young versatile musician also focuses on piano pedagogy. She has many years of teaching experience at several music institutions in Munich, Augsburg (Augsburger Domsingknaben), Stockach and currently in MKZ Zürich and  Weinfelden/Switzerland. From 2020 to 2022 she has worked as „künstlerische Hilfskraft“ of the piano class of Cristina Marton-Argerich at the University Augsburg.

 

Antonia Miller is co-initiator and assistant of Cristina Marton-Argerich at Open Piano Class, a successful virtual/live platform of monthly meetings, masterclasses and concerts, awarded with prestigous cultural prizes and nominated for the “Deutscher Engagementpreis” 2023.
